To All The Ledger Haters.

It's come worrying obvious that most people in this sub have no idea how HW wallets work, and are assuming that there must have always been a "backdoor" or something on Ledger devices.

It's really really simple.

If you get airdropped a scam token to your wallet on your ledger - you know not to approve it.

To approve it you would have to click approve in metamask, and then click approve on the Ledger.

Well done, you've now interacted with a scam token and your wallet is drained. To avoid this, don't click approve in metamask, don't click approve in Ledger.

With their back up system, if you don't want to use it - don't click subscribe, and don't click confirm on your ledger. It's really that simple.

I'm in cybersecurity, work within the blockchain industry and in heavily privacy focused - think TOR or Monero. The amount of misinformation and undue outrage at the technology is madness.

Ledger fucked up on their delivery - it was terrible, and they acknowledged that - and it won't be released until it's open sourced. But the concept is something that all HW wallets are capable of, and is actually probably going to save a lot of people new to the space from losing Crypto - which is great for adoption.

Downvote me hell but do some research on how they work in the first place for your own sakes at least!
