Hypothetical but serious question.
One of Bitcoin's greatest features is it's immaculate conception. It wasn't put forward by a government or large tech company. It was just gifted to the world by a mysterious figure using a pseudonym who quickly disappeared and has not been seen since.
The reality is that somebody (individually or as group of people) created this thing, and is highly likely that either this person/group is still alive or somebody out there knows who Satoshi Nakamoto is.
What would happen to Bitcoin, both in short term price action and long-term legitimacy of the asset, if somebody found and released irrefutable evidence that Satoshi was in fact Hal Finney? What if he or she was somebody associated with a large tech company?
I hope this never happens.
