Tracking the 'altcoin outperform shopping list 2022' thread by Adam Cochran after a year

On 30th December 2021, Adam Cochran, a crypto influencer and crypto VC, wrote a twitter thread of 206 tweets. Yes, you read it correct. He wrote a 206 tweets thread with an altcoin outperform shopping list for 2022.

He picked 40 altcoins that he thought were going to outperform BTC and other index in 2022.

He divided his picks into 6 different categories:

1. God tier
2. Strong outperform
3. outperform + key-tier pre-farms
4. Value
5. Risk-on
6. High risk

As it has been almost a year he gave his picks, I made a table to analyse how these coins did in 2022. I compared the prices of the coins on 30th dec 2021 with today (4th dec 2022).

As seen from the table, we can conclude that if we had invested according to Adam Cochran's picks, we would be down 82% on our portfolio.

Also, as seen, only three alt-coins (YFI, LDO and RAMP) out-performed BTC, and that too by only 2-6%.

Two altcoins, AP3 and CAP were rug-pulled and they are currently not untrackable on CoinMarketCap, while BABL is 99.93% down.

Only 2 Altcoins outperformed ETH.

Hence, in conclusion, we can say that, instead of following a crypto-influencer on Twitter and making your financial decisions, you should DYOR and invest.
