I have constntly that error and the BDI has never been able to complete with Bitcoin core.
I've tried many times since months. I've checked multiple times the memory and disk, and Windwos never reports any error (not even in the Event log, and the filesystem is clean as well).
This can ONLY be a bug in Bitcoin core 0.22, with incorrect synchronization in its threads, or a bug in the libraries that it uses.
And this always happen once I have loaded about 50% of the blockchain, around september 2016. I really sucpect a bug in buffers, or unchecked buffer overflows with some messages or strings, or unusual messages inside some blockchain.
On the same machine and the same disks, running Bitcoin core inside a Linux VM does not show this bug. So this is likely a bug specific to Windows (running Window 11 x64, all latest updates).
OS checkes with "SFC /SCANNOW" or "DISM /ONLINE /scanhealth" gives no error. As well "CHKDSK" displays no problem at all. Everything is clean.
And there's no sign at all in the Windows Event manager when Bitcoin core crashes.
