Update: IRL Bitcoin Treasure Hunts

Below is an update about the bitcoin treasure hunts I created using opendimes and the lightning network. See the original post here.

How it works: Clues are for sale on the website and all sats from clue sales go into the opendime treasure wallets. As people buy clues, the amount of bitcoin in the opendime treasures will increase. In other words, the more people who join the hunts, the higher the value of the treasures will be.

Treasure Updates:

Treasure values have increased significantly due to clue sales and donations. Each treasure started with 100,000 sats. Current values are:

Clue Updates:

I have introduced three tiers of clues to already existing clues. The clues are priced according to distance from the treasure.

• 1000 sats: The lowest-priced clues will get you to the general area where the treasure is located, but finding the treasure will involve some luck and searching.
• 100,000 sats to 0.01 BTC: The mid-level clues will get you to within approximately 100 yards of the clue, and the rest is up to you to search the area and find it.
• 0.1 BTC: The most expensive clues are the GPS coordinates of the treasure. These coordinates are the exact location where the treasure was placed.
