Use this time when the markets are boring to try out different dApps, so when things do get heated, you'll feel comfortable making important transactions

Disclaimer: I suggest creating a completely new crypto wallet just for experimentation and loaded with money that is purely to spend. With all the exploits lately, it proves nothing is safe. Remain on the most reputable dApps like Uniswap, or Polygon's bridge as a few examples. Do not risk your actual wallets that are important to you especially if you don't know what you're doing yet.

The first couple of times I actually started using things like bridges and DEX's it felt fun. It's scary at first and mistakes are bound to happen (seeing the Metamask popup on my screen for the very first time was pretty nervewracking haha), but getting used to how to use your wallet is an important skill come by the time when you actually need to make a transaction and/or take profits. Load up a new wallet with some crypto, and just give things a try. Try to learn how to swap into stablecoins, and bridge to other networks and back. Even just a simple Bitcoin transaction. Especially since gas fees are down, it's better to experiment now.
