Just finished up this bitcoin sign, carved the negative using a CNC machine and casted it in cement, the letters ended up coming out backwards the first time so I had to redo the mold. I ended up using XPS foam for the mold as it is very dense and retains a lot of detail, I also used a mold release wax which actually worked out really well and the sign just popped out of the mold, Last but not least I carved a piece of XPS foam to stick into the mold before the cement hardened to make it lightweight. I am waiting for the day that the quote is true! What does everyone think?
