I was all set to gift some Bitcoin to my 16 year-old nephew, but then I realized Coinbase doesn't allow users under 18.
Now I know Coinbase isn't ideal, but I just wanted to provide as easy of an experience to my nephew as possible. He and his family lead a pretty mainstream existence, so I wanted to at least plant the seed with him so he'd have a head start. (I, myself, am only starting to dabble with getting my coins off exchanges.)
So, what's a good way to:
- Gift some Bitcoin to someone under 18
- Point them in the right direction in case they want to sell it or spend it
I honestly don't think he'd be super psyched upon receiving the gift, but want to do better than just, "Here's a piece of paper with some seed phrases you have no idea how to use. Good luck kid."
