We could get the Bitcoin Spot ETF approvals as soon as in September, or as late as in early 2024. Either way, get ready for some entertaining months…

Name a better duo than Bitcoin and ETFs, already in late 2021 the hype was at 100% when finally some Bitcoin Future ETFs were being approved by the SEC, something that was rumored to happen since 2018. Back then this news caused a new ATH of $69k. And that was just a Futures ETF, meaning no BTC were actually being bought on the market. Now a Spot ETF is much more impactful directly on the prices.

After BlackRock led the charge of many other massive financial institutions filing their Spot ETF Bitcoin applications, we are now closer to that than ever.

Now we even have an official “calendar“ by a person of known integrity at Bloomberg. According to this the main takeaway is that the SEC will have multiple deadlines to decide on the Spot ETFs or delay their decision further. The first deadline being for all applications in early September, then in mid October, then in January 2024 and their final deadline being in March of 2024.

Just yesterday we saw the first one of this list, Grayscale, being rejected once again. Seems like at least for now the SEC did not change their decision, but let‘s see what will happen with BlackRock.

Knowing the SEC we will probably wait until the last minute and I am sure that those months will be full of drama and doom…
