We never had the scaling capabilities to make GameFi actually fun and worth playing. This is why no one took it seriously.

I mean sure, making passive income while playing a digital game is an interesting concept, but passive income alone most certainly won’t convince people to ditch already established games with high level graphics and mechanics.

For people to actually start considering GameFi worth playing, we need better graphics and game mechanics.

One would think that’s easy to implement, and actually it would be if it weren’t for the major issue of scalability (especially on Ethereum)

Hopefully we start seeing more development in that regard as Ethereum implements more upgrades to boost L2 throughput.

We already have GameFi focused L2s doing a great job and some of them like Mantle are also implementing a modular system of scalability which is supposed to (in theory) vastly improve the GameFi experience

I really want to see what we can achieve with GameFi if we can actually scale it and make it entertaining cause this would be the only place and time where the community controls all aspects regarding the game.

Every single game out there is controlled by devs or certain higher ups at management. Never was a community in full control
