I’m newish here and finally got around to watching a Michael Saylor interview on Youtube where he emphasizes that Bitcoin is the only man made asset in history that you can actually take to the grave (link here https://youtu.be/pBmK3pI7uKw?si=hW-U0FM7W1bjRX_W because it’s a fantastic interview).
Now I’m wondering, what happens to the Bitcoin that’s tied to that Seed Phrase if it’s no longer accessible? Is it possible to own that dead persons Bitcoin because we don’t actually store Bitcoin in our wallets but just keys to access the agreed upon amount on the Blockchain? Can it return to the greater supply ever?
Just wondering because the idea of a bunch of people taking Bitcoin “to the grave” doesn’t actually sound amazing if it’s lost forever.
