What I like most about crypto

There’s a lot to say about crypto - it has become a polarizing topic over the last few years. There is so much negative press on crypto (a lot of it well deserved, but that's for a different discussion) that I wanted to share one of the reasons why I love crypto, and I thought the best way to do that would be by asking a question: “Why do we have to wait until our best and brightest ideas are long behind us, to acquire a position/rank that allows us to enact change?”

I think about my professional career, and every boss or person in a position of power are in the last 1/3rd of their lives. Politicians that are enacting laws that effect future generations are on their last-legs with some of them being 80 years old -- I would be terrified if the old couple across the street were running the country towards the end of their lives. Seniors absolutely have a meaningful place in the world, but that place isn't running the entire world IMO. Change is harder the older you get. Youth brings mistakes, but it also brings creativity and vision and desire to change, and new innovative ideas to shape the world how we want to live-- because we're going to be the ones living in it for the next 2,3,4,5,6 decades+

Which brings me to what I love about crypto, and that is the initiative it allows anyone to take to change their financial situation and let their money work for them - if you have an idea and want to enact change, then you can go do it without all the red-tape or getting shook-down. An example.. I don't think a lot of people understand how incredible it is that you can actually collateralize your assets and get a self-secured loan with reasonable and transparent terms. That is a privilege reserved for multi-millionaires.
