What if the US Govt. is just dumping their BTC during periods of “bank collapses“ or other issues, to blame Crypto for everything?

Just a few days ago we had once again some rumours about the US government selling their Bitcoin that they had seized from the drug-trading site Silk Road. For those unaware, early this year the US Govt has sold their Bitcoin for the first and released a plan afterwards to sell their 39k BTC seized from Silk Road throughout this year in roughly 9k BTC transfers each time.

But it is interesting to look at when exactly they had sold their last BTC stack. It was during our downturn in mid March as the Silvergate Bank, with a lot of Crypto exposure had just collapsed as an aftermath effect of the FTX implosion and also the Silicon Valley Bank was starting to crash.

US Govt Bitcoin Balance

Here we can see the Bitcoin Balance of the US government and it also shows that it only dropped during the last sale in March. But what would happen if the US Govt is strategically selling their Bitcoin at just certain periods where Bitcoin is the most vulnerable or at time where they want to prevent a possible Bitcoin rally due to banks collapsing as it would make Crypto gain too much attention.

The basic goal of the governments are always to put the blame for their mistakes on something else and they have already started doing so with Crypto and the Banking crisis, as we can see with the forced shutdown of Signature bank, a Crypto-heavy bank.
