Okay, we all like our beloved community points. We currently have two of them, and at least one of them is thriving here on Reddit with the new CEX listings. But what about the original one? What are the controversies behind it? Why are DONUTs so deeply in the red that it looks like a failed project at this point? Will new Reddit policies and RPC listing change this? DONUTs have a similar supply to the already existing RCP, so the potential is HUGE! I'm only worried about why this hasn't already happened; something is not making sense here. The weird thing is, Reddit still promotes them on the official site. UPDATE (to address some questions in comments): from their official sub documentation: Q: How do I earn donuts? A: As long as you first register an Ethereum address with Reddit, donuts can be earned by simply posting & commenting in the r/ethtrader subreddit. There is a correlation between karma earned and how many donuts you will get, though it is not 1:1. Additionally, posts flaired as Comedy or Media are worth 10% of the donuts as other posts. I just got this when visiting the ethtrader subreddit The graph of DONUT price over time The current status of DONUT trading under a cent per coin If DONUT had the mkcap of MOON it would rocket So, I have no idea why a project like this would fail; DONUT seems promising if Reddit decides to continue with the Community Points.
