![]() | Hi all, I run a local Bitcoin meetup and lately a lot of people are interested in NFTs. I am sceptical of them because as I see it, you are not really buying artwork. You are just buying a token with a link to a centralised server hosting an artwork. Owning the token does not give you any special rights. This is a fun and good analogy. I posted this question on the Bitcoin reddit and got a good explanation of NFTs and why they are worthless and of no long term value. here is the thread https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/n8wnts/nfts_from_a_bitcoiners_perspective/ I thought I would post this here to see if there is any rebuttal to the above. am I missing something? Can you make a good case for NFTs and why they will work? [link] [comments] |
