In a thread I posted a few days ago, I asked about which options people with large enough BTC positions will have to live off of their BTC without necessarily selling it for profit.
One of the more frequent responses was to borrow against your BTC. However there is no safe way at the moment to do so. This left me wondering, what is the possibility of safe options for doing this in the future? Is it a pipe dream or is it something that we will probably have in a few years? There are lots of people who borrow against their assets such as real estate or stocks and continue to do so until they die.
