What needs to be done to reach mass adoption?

Personally, I believe that in order to reach mass adoption, everyone must have the ability to purchase, sell, or exchange all forms of goods and services or day-to-day transactions via cryptocurrency. I know some of these goods and services do exist now, but it needs to be every business and every store adopting this system.

Until this happens we will continue the repetitive cycle of accumulating cryptocurrency with fiat, just to exchange it back into fiat. One day I wish to have the ability to make all the same day-to-day transactions I currently make with fiat, but instead with crypto.

Do you think we will ever reach this point? If so, how long until you think until it is possible to make this a reality?
