What stories do you have about Bitcoin, or about people regarding Bitcoin?

I know a guy who has loads of rental properties, 30 or 40 last time I spoke to him which, granted, was a couple of years ago. I know his situation, partly 'cos he tells anyone that will listen, and partly 'cos it's a small community and I know he liquidated a load of stock from his business which I believe was inherited, which freed up a lot of cash years ago to start buying houses.

Our children went to the same school but we knew each other prior to this. On one of the first days of school we were talking and he literally said "Yeah, I could pretty much buy all the parents here". Like WTF, who says that? He's that type of person I guess but it took me back for sure. I try to avoid him where possible but right around when Bitcoin was sub 20k we ended up talking and I told him I was buying more (FUCK YEAH!).

I will never, ever forget what he said...with a smirk on his face he replied with "Bitcoin is dead, you heard it here first".

Now, he is very wealthy and has made some fantastic decisions in life, but had I listened to him, i'd be FUCKING KICKING MYSELF RIGHT NOW.

Gladly, I ignored him and honestly that was one of the easiest decisions i've had to make.

It was a great lesson in the importance of tuning out the outside noise.
