What was r/CryptoCurrency like before Moons?

This subreddit has been around since March 2013; Moons were introduced in July 2020.

Using historical data, I can see that adding financial incentives to posting ̶h̶a̶s̶ ̶r̶e̶s̶u̶l̶t̶e̶d̶ ̶i̶n̶ correlates with impressive community growth:

Furthermore, shortly after CCIP-001 (Double Comment Karma) was passed on November 11th, 2020, there was a huge spike in comment activity:

During the 7-year interim period before this, what was your experience on the subreddit?

Did the introduction of moons have an overall positive or negative impact in your view?
