My family and I were greatly affected by the recession of 2008. We lost our home and lived in a small apartment until my mom could afford to buy a home again 8 years later. I was a teenager at the time. Didn’t really understand EVERYTHING, but I was incredibly aware of what was going on with the financial institution and the events that followed after. Around the same time Bitcoin came into the picture and news about it slowly snowballed over the years. Aside from its tokenomics and innovative qualities, and obvious “???? eyes”kind of price in the market, I’ve always perceived it to be a protest coin for what was happening around that time.
Curious to know people’s responses. Doesn’t have to be as emo as mine, but I’m genuinely curious.
