What went wrong with Reddit Avatars Gen3?

Well hello there everyone,

I’m wondering what you guys think went wrong with generation 3 of the Reddit Avatars, as it seems it killed volume on Opensea across all 3 generations!

Me myself personally think that Generation 3 was too big! there were around 100 Artists with almost each collection having 3 different Avatars and on top of that we had the increased mint sizes, there were just too many avatars and it killed demand.

I also factor in the botched launch, the moment the store came up you had around 3 minutes to buy what you like…. Before they took down the shop because of a botting issue. There was a guy on discord/twitter bragging about his new bot that was minting avatars faster then humanily possible. The moment the shop came back up it was error message after error message and alot of the “good ones or blue chips” we’re all ready sold out.

These are the two main reasons I think the Generation 3 of Reddit Avatars failed, but I’m curious for your opinion!
