The topic of cryptocurrency is a really big one. It has a lot of different ideas and use cases and it's pretty much impossible to know everything. Although very progressive and efficient, the technology is hard to comprehend at times. Some questions are about a deeper level of understanding and not every answer can be easily found by Googling.

Sometimes we think that everyone but us knows the answer to those "stupid" questions but in reality, many of us don't, and a lot of us do not ask those questions for fear of looking dumb.
