What’s the cause of this sudden upturn in the market?

The more I learn, the less I know it seems. I’m not saying the bull run is back on and we all know we are a long way off ATH still but this has me genuinely scratching my head: what’s with the sudden(ish) upturn?

This week btc is up 23%. A lot of alts also taking off. It’s too much to fob off simply as market manipulation / the wiping of shorts.

All the fud boxes were ticked - signs of a global recession, recent collapse of exchanges, several wars / threats off war, all things that were correctly given as causes for the downturn are still present.

It’s not like everyone coincidentally woke up and bought crypto this week.

One thing it is doing though is putting light at the end of the tunnel and keeping the mood up!

What are the reasons?

Edit: I suppose I should have shared my theory: Started as a short squeeze and then we all know the power of fomo, which caused a bit of momentum! I Can’t really come up with better logic than that. A 10% - 15% gain is good news but I’d usually just pass that off manipulation. But 23% seems high for that.
