Many of us have joined in the last year or so, caught up in the highs of last year's bull market and watching green candles blow up everything. I can admit, I got pulled in thanks to a coworker convincing me to throw a few bucks at Doge and then it exploded.
After that, I figured I'd start doing some research and two things made crypto click:
There was a Ted talk on blockchain which broke down blockchain, what it was, and some of the use cases. Til then, bitcoin had been magic internet money and I gambled on an offshoot and won.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pl8OlkkwRpc is that talk.
That same day, I read the Ethereum white paper and the rest of the pro-crypto argument fell into place.
So, what was that moment for you? I mean, yeah, it's still a gamble and requires patience and training yourself not to watch the charts, but when did the reason behind it, when the tech help you realize that, 'hey, this is a real thing and isn't going away? and it's something I want to invest in or be a part of?'
#TLDR: When did crypto click for you?
