Hi. I'm new to Crypto. I manage some multiplayer game services, and I got requests from players who would like to donate. They claim not to be able to use PayPal in their exotic countries, and asked me if I could support crypto donations.
I started reading about all this, but the more I read, the more confused I get. Usually old reddit topics are polluted with some suspicious recommendations at the end, so it's really hard to choose.
My main goal is to:
- Receive donations in an easy way, which would allow me to get notifications / mail when a new transaction comes. I don't expect many donations this way, perhaps just a few per year (but who knows).
- I will most likely never (or very rarely) exchange crypto currencies. What I'm interested in is to receive donations, and from time to time withdraw money to the bank / PayPal, whatever is easier. Maybe I could also make some online payments later using cryptocurrencies, if server provider(s) allow it.
Which service should I choose, if I'm outside of US, in Europe?
I read that Coinbase has a bad support, Binance was hacked... So Kraken is left, with the good reviews. But is it needed in my case? Should I just create a wallet e.g. with MyEtherWallet, or that is a cold wallet that would make fees (gas?) not affordable?
I'm really tired of reading about the subject I was never interested in. I just want to choose something reliable and potentially easy to use. Which service would fit my needs the best?
