I found Bitcoin when my business PC got ransomware in 2014, BTC was ~$400 at the time and I needed to send 1 BTC to the hackers.
I thought Bitcoin was a huge scam. But as I did my research, it just somehow clicked. I thought to myself “WOW, this is it. This is the fucking future..” At that point, I was all in, and there was no turning back. Let me explain the future I saw at that moment.
Bitcoin unlocks the velocity of money just like the internet has done with the velocity of data. It is sound money and unlike the dollar, there is clear and finite supply, it’s decentralized and everyone can participate in it.
For example, why do we need to wait 2 weeks for a paycheck? Why not get paid every minute or every second? If you receive at the speed of light, you can also re-invest at the speed of light and automate payments, savings, investments, decentralized finance, just about everything related to money and much more.
For example, if you rent out properties, why not collect rent every minute? Any income you make you can immediately re-invest via smart-contracts and generate returns without delay. You can purchase fractional shares of property, or even lend out money and collect interest at a great velocity.
With 5G coming online,it will open up the bandwidth for applications in the future that we haven’t even thought of. For example, we can eliminate stop signs and traffic lights with self-driving cars negotiating the right of way for fractions of a penny based on bids and who is in a hurry. Securities trading on wall street can be done on the block-chain with high transparency. It will open global commerce on a larger scale - How about a small business owner in Japan wanting to sell something online to someone overseas? There doesn’t need to be any middlemen brokering or slowing down transfers or currency conversion. In my small business, it can speed up collecting my accounts receivables by lightyears and smart contracts that collect interest if my customers are paying late.
We are early. While everyone is fixated on the price, I’m seeing the future and such a huge potential for this technology. This is the native currency of the internet. I’m all in on the idea of bitcoin and if it does survive, It just might pay off.
