Who remembers the old days when try tried to get Doge going as a tipping coin on Reddit?
I can’t remember which sub but a crypto one. It was my first introduction to crypto. I remember looking at Bitcoin and thinking it was too amateurish so thought I may as well play with Doge.
The real question is first, what is the difference with moons? To me moons are a karma coin but as long as they are only in one sub are as doomed as Doge was as a tipping coin. At least with Doge you could use it elsewhere and mine it.
Second when can we tip and have tipping battles with moons? Some of those were epic!
If someone wants to monetise posts it needs to be widespread and integrated with behaviour like tipping else they just turn up and most don’t even know about it. Although tipping is so US centric that won’t work.
