Why are scams and scammers in crypto seemingly getting away with most of it!

We can’t deny that scams in crypto have become rampant, they feel like lurking mosquitoes beside a body of water. Before we jump in more details let’s look at what a scam is:

A fraudulent or deceptive act or operation, a dishonest scheme, a fraud.

Now, imagine this, a person that scams the elderly out of their savings. It’s immediately a criminal act and now imagine that there would be proof of it and witnesses. In any civilized society that is an automatic trip to jail for a lengthy sentence.

Somehow it seems that when it comes to crypto scams and especially scammers that most of them avoid getting caught or better said there isn’t any authority or law that really goes after them, in some cases yes but very rarely. In many of these scams we have the proof (transactions, fake entity/website, methods used etc.) and also the witnesses (usually victims of the scam) and also knowledge of the accounts that hold the stolen funds.

Before you start saying that scams happen everywhere in life, which is true, don’t forget that we wouldn’t function as a society if scams and scammers were not aggressively looked after with just some trickling away.

Same needs to happen in crypto asap, without a real change and a real stance by authorities with power to go after those people, I don’t think i see a bright future or mass adoption at one point!
