Why are XRP and XLM on a tear lately?

Maybe its due to the "banking crisis" or maybe its wishful thinking that the SEC will lose its case against Ripple. Maybe its both.

XRP is up 16% in the last 7 days and XLM is up 20%. What hype is driving this run in the midsts of the bear market? Let's learn a little about both projects first.

In the world of crypto currency that aims to improve if not replace banking transactions for the average human things like XRP and XLM provide improvements in remittance and asset tokenization. For example XRP's, five main applications of the XRP Ledger are payments, tokenization, DeFi, CBDCs and stablecoins. What is important is this. They claim that using their ledger include its low-cost ($0.0002 to transact), speed (settling transactions in 3-5 seconds), scalability (1,500 transactions per second) and inherently green attributes (carbon-neutral and energy-efficient). XLM is very similar and rides on XRP's co tail so whatever happens to Ripple may bring success or failure to the Stellar Foundation. This is not changing anytime soon. XLM goes as XRP goes.

Now that you know a little about XRP you also know about XLM but what about number going up? Is it all mere speculation on the fact that Ripple will defeat the SEC in its lawsuit or is it because the banking crisis is providing a legitimate use case to both projects as it comes to remittances, payments and banking efficiency and transparency. I honestly do not have the answer so I came to this sub to find out some opinions and thoughts.

What I do know is that if the SEC loses to Ripple then XRP might go parabolic as the entire US market will then have access to it. News flash. Coinbase has announced re listing XRP in the near future. This could be bullish AF for Ripple but its all TBD. Where do you think all this goes? Do XRP and XLM have a bright future ahead?
