Why Bitcoin ETF in European Market Were Not Able To Move Market.

All Cryptocurrencies

by COINS NEWS 86 Views

Everyone talks about the fact that there are Bitcoin ETF’s in European Markets and why haven't they moved markets.

Because EU Markets are irrelevant in terms of Capital flow and Capital is not incentivised to move into innovation in the EU.

For example, The biggest market in the Eurozone is the Euronext with $6.6 Trillion.

Following that is London Stock Exchange with $3.3 Trillion.

The S&P 500 ALONE is worth ~$40 Trillion.

For example, Europe's biggest ETP (read: ETF) for Bitcoin is BTCE, it has just shut of $500m assets under management.

That is pennies.

The regulatory environment, accompanied by tax policy, accompanied by lack of innovation, accompanied by awaiting guidance from USA (read: BlackRock) means yes in the future EU ETP's may welcome a large in-flow, but at this point, they are irrelevant.

You also have to factor in European's approach to Risk and Innovation - it's just not like the USA. There will be big buyers at $1m-$5m Bitcoin IMO. Not now.

Also, the EU, especially after Brexit, has had its capital market influence damaged heavily and it will continue to pay for this.

American Capital Markets are the biggest, most relevant and most important.

Everything else is child's play & this upcoming US Bitcoin ETF will be a game changer the likes that has never been seen before.
