Why can’t I open multiple positions in the same asset at the same time?

For example, in Binance Futures, if I'm long run brief on btc, and I try to open a short term long place, I simply can’t do this as a result of part of my initial brief position is just being exited for the quantity I am making an attempt to open.

For those who didn’t get that, I can’t be both long and brief on btc at the similar time because it squares off one another.
