I know very little about Bitcoin or crypto in general, so sorry if this is a stupid question.
I have a wallet with a small amount of Bitcoin (~$100 worth) that has been sitting idle for many years. I randomly decided to check on it today for the first time in several years, and noticed that I received approximately $40 from a wallet in 2022.
The sender's address is bc1q8lrcj8dxk4kq92v5ujf694vmvgqwdrv78k3m4p
It is currently empty, but has a lifetime volume of over $7 billion.
After some initial searching, my best guess is that it was some kind of dusting attack? But $40 of BTC seems like a large amount of dust, isn't it?
I assume it's some kind of scam. I just don't understand what their goal is. This is a completely offline wallet
