Why does this R/CryptoCurrency hate Technical Analysis?

I’ve been a long time lurker in this subreddit, but only recently started participating.

One thing I’ve noticed is that most of this subreddit does not like Technical Analysis and I have a hard time understanding why?

I have been using Technical Analysis for years now, on a daily basis and there is no doubt in my mind that it is one of the most valuable tools that we have available as traders and or investors.

The whole “ Nobody knows shit about fuck” saying is detrimental to learning. I understand that this is a Cryptocurrency subreddit and not a trading subreddit, but I do believe we are all here to make money. Why not improve your odds?

Technical analysis does not always play out. It’s not 100% reliable. Nothing is, but it can definitely help.

T/A can be the difference between buying the bottom of a bear market, or the top of the market cycle.

It can be the difference between buying the beginning of a trend or the end of a trend.

Simple indicators like support, resistance, volume, RSI, moving averages and basic chart patterns can and are very useful to pin point buy and sell points. They can be used to predict short term trends or long term trends and can help with taking profits at the right times.

Not everybody has an interest in trading and that’s total fine, but to simply say say technical analysis doesn’t work and “nobody knows shit about fuck” is just plain ignorance.

Text book Technical Analysis has been proven to work.

Why do the majority of people hate something that has been proven, time and time again? Maybe it has to do with the YouTubers cheating trends and always being wrong?
