Why "gas fee"?

It doesn't sound environmentally friendly and could create a negative impact on newcomers' minds. The term "gas" implies the use of fossil fuels and contributes to the perception that cryptocurrencies are harmful to the environment which is another topic to duscuss but it's not the focus here.

Instead of calling it a "gas fee," wouldn't it be considered using more environmentally friendly terms such as "processing fee," "network fee," or simply "fee"?
