Why is crypto good for society? (wrong answers only)

Given the current bear market, macroeconomic situation and all the FUD that comes with it, people started to lose interest in crypto.

Because of potential losses, people also tend to forget why they got into it in the first place. Fear makes you forget the big picture. We forget that crypto may give us a chance to own our possession.

You can see discussions left and right on why crypto isn't the future, that it's only ponzies everywhere, that current banking systems are faster and safer, and so on.
