So I'm running my own node and these days, my mempool looks drastically different than mempool.space. I understand that my mempool only has 300MB, so it has fewer transactions, but still that should mean that it throws away transactions with the lowest fees and keeps the high fee transactions. That should mean that the fee estimates should be roughly similar and the next block should look alike. However, my mempool shows High priority fees 2x higher than mempool.space. I've taken a closer look and the next block my mempool predicted looked nothing like the actual block and of course the one on mempool.space was a lot closer to the reality.
