Why Bitcoin Core -txindex breaks my partition?
For three or four times, I have undoubtedly synced the chain up to 2017 or 2018, until it errors, then it crashes, upon unmounting the partition, subsequent e2fsck repairs the logical problems, and return to sync from 2009.
After the second time I started to aggressively look for bad blocks using the program of the same name. Finds nothing.
More weirdly, it's starting to look like it has broken the loop now I have started to sync without -txindex in a last chance effort to make sure the problem is the hardware - but now it's advancing so much into 2018, it's starting to look like the partition doesn't break because the hardware, but because -txindex.
Have you experienced anything like that? Why?
