I was looking at the Ethereum 2.0 contract on Etherscan (https://etherscan.io/address/0x00000000219ab540356cbb839cbe05303d7705fa) and saw the there was a pending transaction that has been pending for over 10 days. I decided to click on the “From” address (0xE75aB346b8D6ee70a41f9C7Bf28643c3ac792681) and noticed that the transaction is pending because the transaction before has not yet gone through…which is normal as it has a lower account nonce. However, for some reason, the transaction that has not yet gone through with the lower account nonce was sent to the same address and is also marked as “SELF”. Anyone know why someone would send a transaction to the same sending address? Was this a mistake or is there some reason for doing it?
