With aggresive anti crypto policies US will only lose in long term. They will be left behind in another area and this time it may be reason of their collapse.

American financial agencies, IRS and SEC, their government and US senate love to shit on crypto and blame it for everything. Problem is that most crypto companies and projects have enough of this and they won't continue being in country where it is not worth being. Even after winning all lawsuits they won't be safe. So they will most likely limit their involvement, cause no one will invest billions if bunch of crazy old dinasaurs can tomorrow make another stupid anti crypto decision and make company lose everything instantly.

With aggresive anti crypto policies US will only lose in long term. They will be left behind in another area and this time it likely will be more serious than most times. Crypto is mix of finances and tech, two fields you should never ignore. US have many issues in multiple areas, their society and economy slowly decline, and being against crypto may make this collapse decades faster. With crypto adoption I would give them 50 maybe 60 years, without it no more than 30. It is not just about crypto, crypto can't cure all american issues, crypto alone won't make US survive or fail. But it can make huge difference and give them some time for dinosaurs to die of old age and elect better leaders. Unfortunately by agressive anticrypto policies US government have now victim to blame for their own incompetence. In short term they save their faces, but they are too short sighted to see in long term they lost multiple times more.

Crypto industry have many other countries,any growing economies to grow in. Why US? Crypto have EU, Africa, South America and Asia, many young growing societies, crypto doesn't need declining US as much as US need crypto. But again, it is also country that still use cheques and bank payments in US can take up to 2 or 3 days, when in most places payments even without crypto are very fast. It is a country where ober 50% of citizens are just one month's salary from being homeless, where education and healthcare are unafordable. US need crypto much more than crypto need US.

And nope new government in year or few won't be able to just make everything back to normal. If some companies will leave and settle in crypto friendly countries, if crypto miners will move abroad and young bright crypto programmers and investors will find new country it will be impossible to get them back. Progress is happening now, fruits of this progress will be visible in 5/10/15 years. Other nations will see bright era, but then it will be too late for US government to fix their crypto attitude. It took weeks or months to destroy some industry, years or decades to fix it.
