I can actually kind of see this going in a nice direction for those who have moons. My logic goes like this: 1. Reddit purges 3rd party apps to help towards profitablity 2. Reddit potentially goes public or raises funding significantly for some large project or just corporate greed 3. More money comes into reddit coffers
Now, these assumptions holding true, the first already having started, this means reddit valuation going up. That doesn't necessarily mean that more people will come to the site but it does mean that businesses might find more appeal. Assuming that the market recovers more and reddit decides to drum up a lot of publicity and/or go public for example, this drives people to invest in moons, the crypto of reddit. This drives up demand, price, and interest.
I could also see it going the other way. Reddit drives people away with changes, decreases innovation from 3rd parties, loses traffic, less demand for moons, price declines.
