X's crypto payment and potential trading platform should be HUGE for the crypto community and we should focus on that, ignoring the "emotions" this sub has towards X's CEO.

I am honestly surprised with the lack of interest about this news on this sub.

The social media company, now known as X, one of the largest in the world, currently has over 530 million users (we cannot know how many bots there are, and there are even hints that AI bots are stealing selfies and creating fake accounts on it).

X received a license, that is a permit in a way. As far as I understand, for example on Rhode Island, the authorization or the license is called "Currency Transmitter License" which means that X will be allowed to support sending and receiving financial .

This applies to fiat currencies such as the dollar and the euro, but also to cryptocurrencies!

That means that X, formerly Twitter, can provide transfer, custody and exchange services for digital assets through its platform. Initially, it would most likely only be fiat transactions, but it seems that Musk has ordered his developers to build a payment platform that will support payments in cryptocurrencies.

If we look at Musk's announcements, he wants X to make an "everything app". One should not be surprised even if X makes its own coin for making crypto payments (hoping to add other popular cryptocurrencies later).

I remember when couple of years ago some less important news than this one was glorified. This also means that crypto took a big step towards adoption.

If we thought about PayPal adding crypto payments couple of years ago, we would go nuts.

So, if we ignore our opinions and emotions (hate can be considered as an emotion) towards X's CEO, what is your opinion on this?

I am open for every discussion, and every downvote. I beg you not to act like an echo chamber that will bash on Elon, instead think about adoption that we may see.
