Years ago it seemed possible for something to replace bitcoin, now more than ever it seems incredibly unlikely

In the bull market of 2017, things seemed very different. Crypto was beginning to be more widely acknowledged, but hadn’t been accepted by major players. Bitcoin was of course the one that most people recognized, but it was still early enough that you could argue it could be overtaken at least in theory.

However the absolute momentum behind bitcoin now seems to make it inevitable that it will always be on the top in the crypto space at least for its’ intended use case. No other crypto which simply intends to be a currency or a store of value will usurp it. Maybe Ethereum or another platform currency, but not anything that intends solely to be a replacement to bitcoin.

I myself am not necessarily a huge believer in bitcoin, but it is starting to seem undeniable.
