Just a fellow crypto enthusiast and investor here on the left end of the curve.
I fairly regularly watch a few YouTubers to keep up with the news and upcoming events. Like many people.
What I want to bring up here and get an explanation for, are the rampant QR code-based scams with either Michael saylor or Brian Armstrong. I would say that the fake videos of them offering to essentially “double up” your coin stack are stupid, but they are also high quality fakes imo.
What I want to know is: Why hasn’t YouTube brought these down? I’ve been seeing them pop up routinely for months and months now. The influencers I watch are afraid to say one wrong thing, yet these scam ads are seemingly allowed to flourish on the largest (or one of the largest at the least) social media site around. Is it just unstoppable or is this another sly attempt to slow adoption?
If I don’t get a reasonable explanation I will likely fall further down the rabbit hole. Thanks for reading.
