I'm debating totally different 2FA strategies for Binance and want to ask for opinions and expertise. The best way I perceive it, a yubikey makes more sense to me than an authentication app. Using an auth app on the identical gadget is already a compromise so I'd have to purchase one other telephone for that, which already makes yubikey not simply the safer but in addition cheaper choice.
The questions I don't see solutions to, though, are:
- can I register two yubikeys? (one as a backup if the other will get misplaced or stolen)
- can the yubikey be used to authenticate transactions as an alternative of the codes despatched by e-mail?
- can I utterly disable sure 2FA methods? (I understand a backup is important but I don't want it to be the SMS code)
If there's anyone right here utilizing a yubikey, what's your experience, does it work seamlessly? Both on PC and cellular? Thanks.
