14yo here. I want to thank you guys for the amazing experience I've had over the past 6 months

(English isn't my first language, so I'm sorry if i have some grammatical errors.)

I decided to get some crypto in May, a few days before the May crash (excellent timing I know). I didn't understand what it was but I saw some guy who became a millionaire from Dogecoin, so I just said screw it and asked my parents to fund a Binance account with $1000.

I saw some coins and tokens I never heard of and just decided to buy 0.1 Ethereum at 3950 and 0.7 BNB at $585. I remember seeing my account balance at around $1020 and thinking to myself, "Holy crap, I'm a genius!!!"

Then it went down. And down. And down.

I really didn't know how much lower it could go. My $1000 turned into $950 which turned into $900; and it just kept crashing. Then I decided to sell "before this bullsh*t hits zero." I was now left with $800, literally down 20% in a week.

After a few weeks of a mix of anger, regret, and sadness, I decided I would try to learn what Bitcoin is first and move on to the other cryptos. I was stuck understanding the concept of Bitcoin, mostly because I barely even understood how money works, so I started from scratch. After I finally understood it, it was time for me to learn about crypto.

I kept googling and googling terms and phrases I didn't know. Article after article about the technology of bitcoin and its blockchain, I finally understood the gist of it. I then moved on to studying Ethereum, which was where my mind was blown. I learned about so much new concepts and terms: DeFi, dApps, NFTs, Liquidity, DEXes, and so much more. I felt like Ethereum was such a genius concept, so I bought a decent chunk at $2200.

Then I found this sub. So much coins and tokens were being shilled: ADA, DOT, ATOM. NANO, ALGO, SOL, ETH, VET, MATIC, XTZ, XLM, LINK, LUNA and so much more. I couldn't decide which ones to get because they were all seemed such promising projects. So I decided to research as much as I could about all these coins and tokens, and its the best decision I've ever made. I ended up with 40% ETH, 25% ALGO, 20% SOL (I recently sold it for MATIC) and 15% LINK.

Then the bull run. My portfolio was going to the moon, mostly because of SOL and ALGO. Now I'm here with some sweet, sweet profits and I'm extremely thankful for all the knowledge I've gained from crypto. I never would have heard about these smaller projects, and I'm even staking my coins now, thanks to the help of the kind people in this community!

Edit: glad to see people think I write well. Parents seem to disagree :/ I think its because I enjoyed writing it, my school essays are bad tho.
