A bear market isn't just good for accumulation, it's where innovations happen.

Right now, there's a lot of people excited to buy in at lower prices and build a stack before the recovery. While that's all well and good, the best part of this is that a whole lot of the space is going to need to prove it's worth to stick around.

Right now, detractors are out in full force, and frankly, many of the main criticisms are totally fair. This is still a nascent space and it has a LOT of problems. There's a lot that needs to be proven with regards to security, stability and utility. Anything that isn't Bitcoin or Ether is going to need to prove its worth, and even Ether is going to need to start solving its myriad problems to keep it's momentum in the space.

Whether you're in it for the money or the tech, this is an exciting time. Bear markets clean out a lot of fluff, but they also spur creativity in the face of problems. Just like other crashes, bear markets and recessions have lead to further regulations in markets around the world, here, we get to see which teams can solve the looming problems of the space and find a path forward. As much as we all loooooove the lame TA charts people put up here, if these investments are going to be long term investments, the tech doesnt just matter, it is paramount.

Bitcoin was created in response to a terrible economic reality. Crypto wont save people from global recession. But if projects can start answering the very real criticisms people have, you aren't going to just see money come back in because they're excited to see the assets pump, you're going to see people actually utilize these networks and tokens as assets in much greater numbers, which is going to be a much bigger deal for the long term value of these projects than just buyer confidence. The stress of problems is what forces people to adapt, and the crypto space desperately needs to adapt.

Im a big believer in the long term implications of what crypto promises, but it has a lot of problems in its way that it needs to address, and this market will hopefully stir some changes up.
