AI generated images and video will make crypto a necessity

We all saw AI generated images in the past year. They were really amazing at first, but after a while you still spot similarities and odd parts that tell you it is ai generated. That's gonna change though.

I'm convinced we'll see AI generated images that'll be indistinguishable from real fotos within a few years. Combine that with AI generated text and you'll have whole stories with pictures for "proof" made up automatically. At this point, we'll desperately need a system to validate the authenticity of source material. This could really be the prime use case for crypto. If you could easily check if a picture or sorry has been signed with a trustworthy source and has not been altered afterwards, this would enable us to distinguish real from generated pictures.
