Are NFT collections the biggest rug pulls?

Hello everyone, it is me ya demotivational boy again.

I have went into a NFT spree some years ago through the Romanian company Elrond (I am Romanian btw) at the advice and example of my friends.
There were some nice NFT collections and I didn't really cared about the investing value but I do cared a lot about the utility.
We're talking events, experiences, etc.

However, most of the creators abandoned projects upon selling the full collection and from my understanding this is the norm in the industry nowadays.

My question to you is:
Is not this the same as a rug pull? You make a promise, sell the stuff then do not care anymore and just spend the $$$?
