Crypto education and how badly it's needed!

Crypto education seems to mostly happen here, in this community. That's definitely where I got mine and from and lot of research which is obviously available to everyone. For crypto to start taking the next steps and become something that has a chance for mass adoption, education about it needs to happen more then here on reddit.

It's starting to feel that crypto is becoming the wild west, everyone fends for themselves and better be really careful about those lurking scams like mosquitos by a body of water.

Let's look at some very interesting crypto stats:

• 94% of all cryptocurrency buyers are Gen Z or Millennials (18-40 years old)
• The global market capitalization for all cryptocurrencies is $1.07 trillion
• There are over 420 million crypto users worldwide in 2023
• There are around 26,000 cryptocurrencies as of July 2023
• Bitcoin’s total market capitalization is $568 billion as of July 2023
• Bitcoin dominates 49.76% of the total cryptocurrency market
• Between 2012 and 2021, the price of Bitcoin increased by more than 540,000%

It seems a big chunk of people in crypto are between 18-40 years old, and the lack of people over that age that are cryptocurrency buyers is worrisome. With crypto becoming more and more popular, I think is our duty to actually start educating people here as much as we can, either through our knowledge or experience with it. Clearly crypto is something, from $1.07 trillion worth, to almost half a billion people using it, an immense amount of 26k cryptocurrencies and with Bitcoin as its leader, we need to work together and be an influence towards paving the future for it.
