As 2022 is approaching (or already arrived for some), what tokens do you think will perform best in the next year?

I'm mainly looking for advice on what to buy as I'm relatively new to the crypto scene. I personally think that Ethereum will continue its tremendous growth next year due to the amount of new projects and new things that are being built upon it. On the other hand, I think that shitcoins (or at least the majority of hype around them) will die off a little bit in the next year. Especially after all the rug pulls and scams this year with them. (SQUID for an example) Also, there really is just no practical use for them so I think that as more people start to realize this they will lower down in popularity and things that are more useful will rise up.

One other thing, (loosely related), governments will most likely start enacting new regulations for cryptocurrency. Most of them will probably be just to deter crime. Some regulations though will "attempt" to expand their financial surveillance. But that's a whole other conversation.
